We’ll feature Steve Snyder, author of Shot Down: The True Story of Pilot Howard Snyder and the Crew of the B-17 Susan Ruth which breathes life into the events of February 8, 1944, when Steve’s father and nine others were knocked out the sky over Belgium. We’ll discuss the Eighth Air Force, the Air War over Germany, and the experiences of air crews, POWs, and Resistance fighters on the ground. Glenn Flickinger will also lead a discussion of Rick Atkinson’s fascinating Ten Things You Should Know about the US Army in WWII.
