Join us live in-person or online on Saturday, August 7 at 1:00pm, as we welcome USAF fighter pilot veteran Heather Penney to the Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh. As the nation and the world prepare to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the United States, the VBC with the Military Community Support Project is hosting a special event with Heather Penney, who was tasked with hunting United Flight 93 on Sept. 11, 2001. On that infamous morning, Lt. Penney climbed into the cockpit of her F-16 and took off in search of the hijacked aircraft. She had no time to arm her fighter. Tickets are free, but registration to attend the in-person event is required.
