During World War II, Pan Am Airways became the most important civilian component of the US military airlift, flying over 90 million miles worldwide in support of the war effort. The period saw many firsts, including the first circumnavigation of the globe and the first flight of a US President abroad. Joining Glenn Flickinger on VBC Greatest Generation Live are Pan Am historians Linda Freire (Chair of the Pan Am Museum Foundation), John Luetich (Curator of the Pan Am Museum Foundation), and Captain John Marshall, who really deserves a program all his own. John is a USAF veteran who also flew in and out of Vietnam during the war and in Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Oh, and he has a B-25 he flies for fun. Finally, also joining us will be Admiral Bill Studeman (Ret.). Admiral Studeman was, among other things, the Deputy Director of the CIA as well as former Acting Director. He has served on the Advisory Board of the Pan Am Museum Foundation since 2016.
