Join us for a conversation with D-Day veterans and experts on Sunday, June 6 at 6:30pm. Featured guest will be Tom Rice, a veteran of the 101st Airborne Division who landed behind enemy lines on D-Day, June 6, 1944. Tom also jumped into Holland as part of Operation Market Garden, and was wounded at Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge. He returned to his unit and fought to Hitler’s Eagle’s Nest in Berchtesgaden. We’ll also talk with Warren Goss, who landed on Utah Beach on D-Day with the 531st Special Brigade. And we’ll be joined by educator Franky Ortega, who flew across the English Channel om Jun 6, 2019 and jumped from a vintage C-47 for the 75th Anniversary of D-Day flying across the English Channel in the lead aircraft of the greatest armada of vintage aircraft since WWII. We’re grateful to Jay Wertz for guest-hosting this program. Jay is author of several books on WWII and Creative Director at Monroe Publications.
