Every family has its own connection to World War II, whether through a parent, grandparent, spouse, sibling, or another loved one whose experiences became part of the family story. Many World War II veterans did not speak of the war or their experience in it until many years later, some never did.
Join the Veterans Breakfast Club for an open conversation about the World War II experiences passed down through families. We’ll hear from Chris Pirollo and others who will share stories of loved ones who served during the war, and then open the conversation to everyone. Participants are encouraged to bring their own family stories, photographs, letters, keepsakes, or memories to share. This program is about preserving the personal side of World War II history—the stories passed down around the dinner table, tucked away in old boxes, or discovered years later.
