Tonight, Glenn Flickinger welcomes NYT best-selling author Daniel James Brown. Dan’s latest book, “Facing The Mountain: A True Story Of Japanese American Heroes In World War II” tells the story of four Japanese-American soldiers, who volunteered for the famed 442nd Regimental Combat Team that fought in Italy, France, and Germany. It also tracks the fate of these soldiers’ families, who surrendered their homes, businesses, and freedom to live in remote internment camps. Also joining us will be Tom Ikeda, director of Densho, a non-profit that keeps alive the history of the incarceration of Japanese Americans during World War II.
