1965-69: U.S. Air Force Academy as cadet in training. Then TDY, Lowry AFB, Denver, Aug.-Dec. ’69; PCS Kelly AFB Texas, Dec. ’69-Jan. ’73, in three AFSC’s: 7464 Mgmt. Story:

It was a deep privilege to serve in the race relations field, in which our instructor team achieved a 97% effectiveness rating for improving human relations on base, as reported by all course participants on anonymous critiques–roughly 2,000 of them. Note: photos show myself swearing in Sgt. Stokes for re-enlistment; myself at Bldg. 605 Race Relations; myself on water buffalo, which was on base for Holiday photos; several students of mine which were Thai employees on base (I taught them English as a volunteer at lunch time); and our staff of instructors on board a small water craft.
