We continue our conversation about Ulithi and the sinking of the USS Mississinewa there by a Japanese suicide submarine, a kaiten. Kaiten author Mike Mair, Ulithi resident Jon Rulmal, and a host of others associated with this remarkable and largely unknown saga of World War II will be sharing their stories. Also joining us will be Retired Navy Captain John Carter, commander of the USS Salvor ARS-52, which, in February 2003, salvaged nearly 2 million US gallons of oil from the Mississinewa to preserve Ulithi’s coral reef.
