A fast-moving 90-minutes of conversation about remembering and memorializing the Vietnam War. US Air Force veteran Bob Connor tells the moving story of returning to Vietnam to recover remains from mass graves for the Vietnamese. Welder (and Coast Guard father) Robert Nuccio shares memories of welding the famous Three Soldiers Statue at the National Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC. Finally, we hear why those bullets around the soldier on the left are facing the wrong way. And Jerry Augustine discusses writing his photograph-filled memoir, Vietnam Beyond, about his tour of Vietnam in 1966-1967. Jerry won an Army contest for the best soldier in training. His prize was to fly to Vietnam, rather than take a troopship, which meant he slept in a shelter-half near the Cambodian border for ten days before his fellow members of the 196th Light Infantry Brigade arrived.
