We welcome back Beth Reuschel our go-to military records research expert, who helps people discover and learn more about the veterans in their families. She conducts research for people and also coaches them to do their own detective work. She’ll tell you where to order a DD-214, where to go next if you hear records were “destroyed in the fire of 1973,” and how to get your hands on the almighty Holy Grail of Military Records Research, the Official Military Personnel File (OMPF).
Through her expertise and guidance, dozens of people have tracked down service records of veteran parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents, as well as brothers and sisters.
